Respite Care

Care-giving is a demanding task and caregivers need time off from their responsibilities to relieve stress and prevent burnout. Respite Care is available at all The Village Network locations and in crisis situations, our large Treatment Foster Care network allows for emergency and transitional respite care.

Effective, sustainable care-giving depends on meeting the caregiver's own needs for nurture, reassurance, support and periodic respite. Trained foster families work with the youth’s family and other care providers to develop and implement a plan for the youth and their family, foster family and others responsible for helping.
