Treatment Foster Care
Our Treatment Foster Care networks serve a wide variety of troubled boys and girls of all ages. Individual counseling and family therapy for the youth’s primary family are included in all treatment plans. The Village Network also has the capacity to utilize other TVN programs and community resources to develop extensive “wrap-around” plans.
Masters-level therapists, case managers, psychologists and psychiatrists are part of individualized treatment plans. Each network consists of a foster-care advocates group, full-time network staff and carefully selected mental health professionals.
Treatment Foster Care is available in the Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Columbus, Delaware, Lorain, Mount Vernon, Uhrichsville and Wooster TVN locations.
TVN-Columbus offers Community-Based Foster Care modeled after the Jane Addams Hull House Neighbor to Neighbor Program. Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC) is available in Summit County through TVN-Akron.

Respite Care is available at all locations and is a planned intervention. Trained foster families work with everyone to develop a working plan.
Details on the Treatment Foster Care Program
Foster Parents are carefully selected and rigorously trained. Detailed background checks, finger printing, references, home inspections and consistent monitoring help us license quality providers.
Foster parents received 70 hours of training prior to becoming licensed and continue to receive 24 hours annually in mental health and behavior childcare. Parents attend weekly training and treatment meetings with other foster families to discuss and receive support from other foster parents and TVN staff.
