Millers' Named Honorary Co-Chair's
WOOSTER, Ohio - April 30, 2009 - James T. Miller, Executive Director of The Village Network & his wife Anita Miller served as the honorary chairpersons for the 16th annual Child Abuse Prevention Month Community Breakfast in Wooster, Ohio, April 30th.
Over 300 local and state leaders attended the breakfast which was presented by The Voices for Children Committee and Wayne County Children Services Board (WSCS).
Both Jim and Anita hold degrees in social work from The Ohio State University and both are licensed independent social workers. Jim has served The Village Network for 22 years, currently as the executive director and is the recipient of the 2008 George Steven Award recognizing his valuable contributions to the Ohio Association of Child Caring Agencies (OACCA).
Anita's extensive career includes positions as case worker, coordinator, director, counselor and trainer. She served as the director for Catholic Charities in Wooster and currently works with that organization as a therapist.
Together they authored the state training module on attachment and separation. They have both presented at the International Foster Parent Conference. And they have served as co-presidents of the Ohio Family Care Association.
The Millers are parents to four children; one is adopted, and over the years has fostered 25 children. They are also the very first Treatment Foster Care family in Wayne County.
