The nation was divided.
We had Miracle Whip® families and Hellmann's® mayonnaise families.
In our neighborhood, jars of either Miracle Whip® or Hellmann's® served as a standard centerpiece at dinner. Today those jars still remind me of that precious family bonding time – when conversations often turned to laughter and sometimes downright silliness. The dinner table was where we got hands-on attention, a timeout from our daily troubles.
It wasn’t until later in my life I realized everyone doesn’t have great memories of mealtimes or childhood. In fact, according to Ohio research, more than 51,000 children are abused and neglected each year.
The Village Network has been improving, shaping and transforming the lives of troubled and traumatized boys and girls for 63 years. Our programs provide a seamless transition between residential, day treatment and treatment foster care programs – all aimed at preparing our youth to embrace new, productive lives.
Please celebrate your childhood memories with a financial donation to the The Village Network. Your gift will help rebuild the lives of our most vulnerable boys and girls. It will help support existing best treatment programs and innovative, new initiatives aimed at Creating Positive Change for Responsible Living. Help us put more boys and girls around our dinner table.
